Why did I vote for the Workers' Party?

I enjoy having diverse viewpoints because I do not know everything.
At work, my colleagues who are frontliners and clinicians have their areas of expertise and experience, which I do not have.
What I put on the table is the running of operations.
As much as possible, I would want to consult my colleagues to ensure that any blindspots are covered.
Listening intently, asking questions, and having discussions before arriving at a decision results in a better outcome.
When people are able to voice their opinions, and when they feel that their voice is respected even if opinions differ, they take ownership of the decision even if it is not their own.
I have been volunteering and supporting the Workers' Party because I believe that it is a constructive alternative voice that will speak on issues that matter and propose policies that will make Singapore better.
I voted for the Workers' Party not because I am unhappy with the PAP, but because I believe that a diversity of voices represented in Parliament is good for Singapore.

Personal Perspective on CHC Fiasco

My personal perspective on the City Harvest Church fiasco: #1. God is omnipresent (present everywhere), omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing) and God knew about this episode. I believe God is watching.; #2. The CAD does not charge without concrete evidence (they have taken sufficient time to investigate - 2 years). May justice prevail.; #3. It is unavoidable for members of the public with little information about Christianity to judge.  It is also one of my weaknesses to be quick to judge/form negative impression about others, which is unhealthy.; #4. I believe to a certain extent, the message of giving and tithing is relatively strong in City Harvest Church - I may be wrong.  (fyi, I have visited the church a couple of times) My personal belief is that it is important to give to God because God is the creator of everything that exists. He owns everything and we are simply stewards of what we have been entrusted with.  Though I h...

Invitation to Happy's Birthday Party

Invitation to Happy's Birthday Party! Today, how's your 2nd day of the Chinese Lunar New Year? Hope it has been fun! I'm having a good time... Will be heading out for Valentine's Day the movie. Had abundance of quality time with my bestie yesterday for Valentine's Day cum 1st day of the Tiger Year. Photos will be up on this blog soon. You'll see lots of beautifully taken pictures plus POLAROIDS! Yays! ~ I really really thank God for my bestie! It seems that she's able to understand me pretty well emotionally. I've came to realise that not all whom I disclose my feelings to will be able to understand what I need. Yeah, it might sound demanding somewhat. That's what separates Best Friend from others I suppose. ~ Been thinking more frequently about the past lately. Uncertain why it did not affect me subconsciously. However, I do have to admit the past was lovely and somehow it lingers... ~ Take care all! Stay in good shape! :p Pam Petite
