10th May 2020: Mendell (pronounced as "man-dell" instead of "man-dle" as in Gregor Mendel, the scientist). We decided to give our son this name as it means "comforter" in Yiddish. In Isaiah 66:13, God compares a mother's love for her child to His love for His people. The gift of a child is a comfort, blessing and testimony of God's love for us. Though I am not that old to have a child, there was a sense of doubt and unpreparedness previously. Giving thanks to God for this precious gift!
