An Impact from Tee-Vee

I figured if I have SCV, I would watch the programmes almost daily. I do not have a consistent relationship with my tee-vee set. Or rather the basic tee-vee programmes do not interest me much. However, I just wanna praise Arts Central for being kind by offering a little bit of animal documentaries. Hehee~ Just had my doze of "Dangerous Encounters" with Brady Barr. Watching consecutive for 2 weeks of this particular programme has elevated my liking towards him. LOL. (how easy to impress) But really, I always think that biologist / scientist are very courageous people. Animals aren't like human beings, you have to study and make the right moves on them or they'll turn around and bite you without hesitation. Oh yeah, I'm always thrilled by things happening in the wild. A sheer sense of adventure and really not knowing what will happen. The unknown just makes life more interesting and somehow worth living the next minute.

Life...
Just think about how scientists are trying to save the lives of the endangered animals and you will know that you are worth much more. Simply think about how the animals struggle to stay on earth; especially if the conditions are worsen by pollution and loss of habitat.

Alrighty, I guess this thought just made me appreciate life even more. I wanna see alligators and I want my children to be able to see them - alive.

Love is Kind

So I went jogging and insisted on continuing even when the heavens gave me clue that it'll pour anytime soon.  It rained and I was drenched.  Since it was getting late, I had to walked on by to get home.  While I was at the traffic junction, a contruction worker sheltered me with his umbrella for a short distance.  I was really touched by his kindness.  Thank you, Lord for showing your love through the people around me.

Honouring Mr Lee Kuan Yew

23 Mar 2015: While getting ready for work, Nat told me that Mr Lee Kuan Yew has passed on. I didn't expect the multitude of sadness that followed. Found out that Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong would be addressing Singaporeans on his father's death at 8am and my heart went out to him. As I was watching his address, I am reminded that no matter who he is, he is still his father's son. When I see the profile and cover pictures of many of my friends changed into mono colours, I see unity and appreciation. By human standards perhaps we may debate about whether he is a good leader, but I believe he was called to serve with the others when Singapore really needed one. RIP Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

A Fall

Dear Blog, I just had a fall while running in my flat-heeled office shoes. I didn't feel embarrassed dropping flat on the floor. Instead, I felt a growing pain from both my knees. My brain signaled for my legs to walk and soon I reached my destination with blood-crying knees. Why was I so careless? Was browsing through my past entries, time has passed and well, a lot more to improve on in my life. Occasionally, I wish to say, be contented. However, I can't. Because it simply is not good enough. I guess, that's what a twenty something should be contemplating. After all, only about a quarter of our lives is gone. Had been playing RISK board game with my honey on 2 consecutive Sundays. This game taught me a couple of lessons:- (a) Nobody is declared the winner unless the game ceases, by either party surrendering or by conquering the lands of your opponent; (b) Even if you are losing huge armies, it doesn't mean you are the loser; (small can fight big) (c) Take it easy! I...
