To Be or Not To Be (Ongoing Thoughts Of An 80% Plant-based & 20% Meat-based Omnivore)

8th July 2016:  What I've been thinking about for close to a week till I read this . I guess the roughly 80(plant)/20(meat) principle that I wanted to apply still stands. Will definitely read the book recommended. 2nd July 2016: Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret - The most powerful documentary I've ever watched. It reminded me why I chose not to eat beef for a while (but I resumed after advise from a TCM physician, BUT I have now decided to reverse and stop eating beef) I knew that cow farts - methane, is harmful to the environment but now I learned that animal agriculture is the biggest contributor of global warming; more than any other reasons combined. Hence, for the start, I shall do  ‪#‎ meatlessmonday‬  & I'm now even more motivated to resume my  ‪#‎ veggiesthursday‬ .

Kudos to the staff @ Melt The World Cafe

28th August 2012   Celebrated our 1st year anniversary at Melt The World Cafe, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore. It was unforgettable because the staff were very warm, pleasant and attentive. The world-class service provided was synonymous with the five stars hotel brand. Apart from making sure that our needs were well attended to, the staff have displayed vast knowledge of the buffet spread. The complimentary cake for our anniversary was delicious and served at the approriate time without us asking for it. Great initiative! Last but not least, the staff surprised us with a beautiful card endorsed with all the other staff's signatures. We were very touched by such hospitable gesture and will remember our wonderful experience at Melt The World Cafe for a very long time.    I highly recommend Melt The World Cafe to anyone who is looking for good food with excel...

Movie: Up in the Air Chocolate Affogato Me with "The Veal Thing" WL with his "Chicken & Mushroom Sandwich" The Veal Thing Chicken & Mushroom Sandwich Colourful Me! Midori Some chocolatey cake which I can't recall the name Watched "Up in the air" a definite must-watch! I think the movie was smart, funny and unusual. This film officially made me like George Clooney. (not as a fave actor but I saw him as a good actor) There were many moments in the plot that I would say, "Sounds like me." ~ Had dinner with WL @ TCC. Thanks for the dinner I must say. It was oh-so-delicious! :) Wrote my food review at: Hungry go where Just a short write-up of good food. ~ Had our dessert @ 1 Caramel. My 2nd visit. My selection of cakes weren't as good as the 1st time. Nevertheless, my tea selection was enough to compensate. ~ I had a great evening of movie & dining. Have a wonderful weekend too! ~ Sidetrack: I want to get an iphone soon! Love, Pam...
